Andy to Deliver 3 Sessions at TechEd Europe 09 in Berlin!
Well today I am back in the office preparing for my upcoming 3 sessions at TechEd Europe 09 in Berlin. This time around I am delivering a session called Defence Against the Dark Arts which look at defence measures individuals and businesses can implement in order to protect assets. From malicious software to the inside man, this 75min session is packed with suggestions, stories and demos to help you form a formidable defence. I also take a look inside the murky world of forensics and demo tools like Helix and En-Case. I will even show you how to clone a phone for under a $1.
My other security session is an interactive session called Security Assessment Planning and Implementation. We all know how important it is to be security compliant and aware but what good practice methods do you implement? Have you encountered an bad practice? This 75min session is an ideal opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas. My final session is on Windows 7. I have been working with the new OS for around 8 months now and I am blown away by it’s speed and performance. So much so that I decided to deliver a session focussed on Power Management. Here we unravel the mysteries and jargon to reveal what really lies at the heart of Windows 7. Is it muscle or flab? Finally at last week’s Cybercrime Security Forum in Oslo my good friend Bill demoed a great piece of security assessment software. Topala! This is an awesome tool which can perform in-depth security assessments both on a local and remote machine. Check it out today! http://www.gtopala.com/
